RF front-end matching networks and impedance transformation circuits in mobile transceiver modules integrate this 18 nH unshielded inductor to tune antenna coupling and intermediate frequency bands. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC radio sections also use compact chip inductors in this value range to realize compact L-matching topologies on dense PCBs.
